Food Safety
The USPCA has a partnership with the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals (NRFSP). This national organization provides an easy and affordable method for USPCA members to attain a Food Safety Manager Certification. This food handling certificate is nationally recognized and is typically good for five years. This may vary in some States or Provinces. USPCA members are required to be food safety certified in order to obtain or renew their Certified Personal Chef (CPC) designation.
Credentials demonstrate your commitment to excellence and professionalism. Holding a valid food handlers permit is not a requirement for the majority of personal chef businesses, but having the credential is beneficial.
